After you send a package to a contractor as described in Sending packages, circumstances might change such that you do not want the contractor to respond to the package. If the contractor has not already made modifications to the documents, you can retract the package so that the contractor does not have access to it anymore. If the contractor has already made modifications and you have been assigned to the Tenant Administrator role, you can retract either the original versions or the modified versions of the documents. You might also want to retract a package if sending the package to Meridian Enterprise failed for some reason and the documents in the package are stuck in the state In Meridian.
You must be assigned to the Project Owner or Document Controller role to perform this task for successfully sent packages. You must be assigned to the Tenant Administrator role to perform this task for packages that failed to be sent or to retract packages that contain modified documents. The package must contain at least one document and all of the documents in the same package must have the same status.
- Find the package in the Packages list or open the package as described in Viewing packages.
- Click the Actions icon
in the row or header of the package and then click Retract. A confirmation dialog box appears.
- Type the reason why you are retracting the package in Retract reason.
- Click Retract. An email notification is sent to the contractor with the reason that you entered. The status of the package is set to Retracted. The documents in the package are set to the For Routing state for possible further action by you.
