As soon as you create several projects in Meridian Portal and begin circulating packages of documents within and outside your organization, tracking when documents are due to reach certain milestones becomes a big challenge. Keeping documents moving through their workflows is key to maximizing document control efficiency. It's also a challenge where Meridian Portal can help.
Portal supports multiple due dates for each document–one for each type of package in which a document may be sent: Review, Approval, Transmittal, Return. Due dates for documents are set automatically by Portal when they are included in packages. The date is calculated as a response time (in days) that is added to the date when the package is created. Each package type can have a different response time that is configurable as described in Configuring package response time. Portal lets you see these due dates and their related information in multiple places and uses color to help you see which are the most important documents that need to be acted upon to keep things moving on schedule.To view the due date status of all documents in a project:
Open the Documents page to view all of the documents in the project as described in Finding documents. The due date status of each document is shown in the Review, Approval, Transmittal, and Return columns by these symbols:

Up to one third of the response period has passed. The number is the remaining days. A gray zero indicates that the document was not reviewed within the response period or that the document is to be returned to the sender.
Up to two thirds of the response period has passed. The number is the remaining days.
Less than one third of the response period remains. The number is the remaining days.
To see detailed status information in a tooltip, click the symbol. The information is also shown on the Properties page of the document as described in Viewing and editing document properties.
