When documents are added to a project for revision, they are initially assigned to the recipient of the package. If they should be assigned to a different person, you can do that if you have been assigned to the Project Owner or the Document Controller role.
- Documents that are in the Compliance Check and For Routing states.
- Project members that have been assigned the Document Controller role.
- Open the project for which you want to change document ownerships as described in Opening projects.
- In the navigation bar, click the Documents icon
. The Documents page appears and lists the documents that have been uploaded.
- Filter the list to show only the documents in the Compliance Check and For Routing states as described in Finding documents.
- Click the number of the document to which you want to assign ownership. The Document Details page appears.
- In the Properties toolbar, slick Assign ownership. The Assign ownership dialog box appears.
- Select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the document and click Assign. The page refreshes to show the assignee’s name in the Assigned to property.
- Open the project for which you want to change document ownerships as described in Opening projects.
- In the navigation bar, click the Documents icon
. The Documents page appears and lists the documents that have been uploaded.
- Filter the list to show only the documents in the Compliance Check and For Routing states as described in Finding documents.
- Add the documents to the clipboard to which you want to assign ownership as described in Adding documents to the clipboard.
- Open the clipboard view as described in Viewing the clipboard.
- In the toolbar, click the Menu icon
and then click Assign ownership on the menu that appears. The Assign ownership dialog box appears.
- Select the name of the person to whom you want to assign the documents and click Assign. The page refreshes to show the assignee’s name in the Assigned to column.
